Introducing: ADSL Flexicap, a unique product in South Africa
The features are:
- Client is in full control of usage, rather than the ISP being in control.
- Client no longer pays for unused, wasted bandwidth at the end of the month. Unused bandwidth is carried over to the next month, subject to a maximum carryover of one full months in-contract (starting cap) bandwidth
- Client selects starting cap size, maximum cap size, auto-upgrade increment.
- Starting cap and increment can be as small as half a Gb, or starter caps could be one of 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 or 20 Gb, and upgrade increments can be half a GB, 1, 3, or 5 Gb.
- When usage reaches 90% of starting cap size (or current upgraded cap size) system automatically adds an upgrade of the elected auto upgrade increment, and bills the client.
- This continues until the maximum cap is reached, at which stage the service is suspended.
- Clients may also opt to manually upgrade rather than auto-upgrade if they prefer.
- Grouped accounts have individual usernames, but share a group flexicap. Individual, grouped accounts may also have individual quotas set at the administrator’s preference.
Using the flexicap, clients can tailor their ADSL account in many ways – they can for example tailor it as an unlimited pay per usage service, or optimize usage over several branches.
